EDI LRECLM Specification
The LRECLM message is used by companies to exchange informationregarding a claim or claims on a policy or policies which havebeen reinsured. The message will be used for both ceded andassumed reinsurance.
The trading partners utilizing the Life reinsurance claimsmessage will be direct companies, reinsurance companies,reinsurance intermediaries and retrocessionaires. The messagewill be used to transmit data required by ceding and assumingcompanies to communicate information for the orderly settlementof claims. It also facilitates the reconciliation of thereinsurance records in order to maintain the integrity of thedata between the trading partners.
