This paper provides the definition of the Cargo insuranceclaims message to be used in fulfilling the requirements oftrading partners in the transport chain world-wide, in theinterchange of cargo and transport related information usingElectronic Data Interchange (EDI).The message is for a single consignment and can be used by allmodes of transport for the forwarding and transport of goodsfrom any origin to any destination, regardless of route orprevailing commercial practice.This message is exchanged between transport industryparticipants, insurers, insurance intermediaries, surveyors andloss adjusters. The message conveys single consignment cargoinsurance related information, such as details of one singleloss, claim or survey and the parties involved.
